Social & Emotional Learning
At Tobin Beaudet, we recognize that at different stages and ages children face developmental needs and challenges. Our approach to social and emotional learning is all about meeting children’s needs where they are at the time, and we work hard to:
- Help children navigate their social surroundings and their emotional feelings
- Provide children with tools and confidence to handle social situations successfully on their own
- Differentiate between different ages and developmental stages.
A 5-year-old and a 10-year-old have very different social and emotional needs, and our teachers provide all of our children with the support and learning that comes with being part of the bigger group. By listening carefully and taking individual needs into consideration, we teach our children through examples with friends, showing them how to be an empathetic, positive member of the bigger group.
